Asset Operations Manager

Full-time/Part-time/Internship: Full time - 40 hours/week
Department: EPC & Asset Operations 

Ampyr Solar Europe (ASE) is a dynamic and rapidly expanding renewable energy business transitioning to a fully integrated Independent Power Producer (IPP). With 6 assets in operation, 4 projects in construction, and a growing development pipeline across the UK, Netherlands, and Germany, ASE is committed to achieving a multi-GW operational portfolio in these geographies. 

As more assets come into operation, we are expanding our Asset Operations Management team to ensure smooth operations and interfaces with our stakeholders.  

The Asset Operations Manager will ensure optimal operation of our assets through remote monitoring, data analysis and regular site inspections. The Asset Operations Manager will engage with local communities, O&M providers, landowners, neighbours and prepare operating reports for internal and external stakeholders.  

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with the wider Asset Operations team to monitor and manage the performance of solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS), ensuring seamless integration and optimal operation across assets

  • Effectively manage contracts by identifying and fulfilling obligations, enforcing terms, and negotiating renewals to ensure smooth operations and compliance.Act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, including O&M providers, subcontractors, landowners, and local communities, ensuring clear and effective communication 

  • Liaise with the relevant departments to ensure compliance with all Health & Safety (H&S), Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG), and other regulatory obligations 

  • Prepare and deliver detailed technical and commercial reports to internal teams, lenders, off-takers, and other stakeholders at varying intervals, ensuring timely and accurate updates in accordance with diverse reporting requirements.

  • Analyse large volumes of performance data to identify trends and actionable insights that drive performance improvements across solar and BESS assets.

  • Work with the wider Asset Operations team and other departments to complete due diligence and feasibility analysis 

  • Perform regular site inspections and liaise with subcontractors to ensure all services and maintenance are carried out to a high standard 


Requirements

  • Degree in engineering or a related field. Strong experience with utility-scale renewable energy projects without a relevant degree may also be considered.  

  • 2-5 years of previous experience within asset management of renewable energy projects in the Netherlands or Germany 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills 

  • Self-motivated with strong initiative, able to proactively plan and execute required tasks with minimal supervision 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders 

  • Highly organized, with attention to detail and consistency 

  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on achieving optimal results 

  • Fluency in Dutch and English 

  • Right to work in the Netherlands
